We'll meet with you and your parents (at least one of them) to find out if you have any ideas, learn about activities you are involved in and we'll talk about what you should wear. Whether you have a million ideas or aren't quite sure what you want, we'll work together to figure out which package will suit you best. We'll talk about what kind of products are available, and answer any questions you have. We might even ask for your favorite music, candy and soda - just to make your session a little more "you." Ideally, the consultation will take place in your home so that we can get an idea of the kind of artwork that will work best. Consultations can also take place at ESP studios or on the phone and last about 30 minutes.
Most sessions take place at Erica Salmon Photography's home studio just east of Indianapolis in Greenfield . This is a time for you to have fun. We'll take our time and get plenty of variety in our poses, props and backgrounds. Depending on the session you choose, we will go outside and may even take a trip to the park behind our property or to another location that is important to you. Please feel free to speak up if you have any spur of the moment ideas. We love to try new things! Before you leave, I'll ask you (or a parent if you aren't 18 yet) to fill out a client information and model release form. This lets me know the best way to keep in touch with you, and gives me permission to post your images online, use them for competitions etc. I'll also take just a few minutes to show you some samples of the different products we offer and be sure you have a price list before you leave.
The Preview Session
A couple of weeks after your session we'll have you out to the studio to see your images. Sit back, relax and watch a video with the images from your session. After you've seen them all, we'll talk a little more about exactly what you need and go through each image to decide if it's one you just can't live without. We work hard to make sure that there won't be any surprises (other than your amazing images) and that you have all the information you need to make a decision at this point. Please make sure everyone who will be part of the decision is present at the preview. The preview session usually lasts anywhere from 45-90 minutes.
